Why A Virtual Sales Office? - Part 1

  • After extensive study of time-share sale and re-sale operations and having interviewed current and ex-timeshare sales staff, we made the following observations.


  • By and large:


    • Free-Listers (pre-qualifiers) & Closers are commission-only based
    • The number of Free-Listers & Closers employed has a direct correlation with the sales revenue stream
    • The size of the sales force (and therefore sales) is limited by the size of the office and the switchboard’s capacity.

  • Our study also found that there is an untapped pool of available trained (or trainable) sales staff on the Costa, who are available for home telesales work for a variety of good reasons including:


      • No driving licence
      • No available public transport
      • Mobility problems
      • Children at school
      • Pregnancy
      • Caring for parents

  • BUT....


  • We also found that some employers were loathe to use outworkers because they feared that external sales staff would or could:


    • Steal the Databases
    • Misuse Customers’ Credit Cards
    • Be unmonitored and therefore difficult to supervise
    • Fraudulently enter false sales


  • Also, we found that these particular employers were rather unversed in modern secured systems and / or techno-phobic.

  • Everyone wants more sales.


  • So, if we could put more sales people to work, in a commercially secure manner, overcoming the security issues, the limitations of the physical office premises and telephone switchboard, then everybody wins!


  • One could even dispense with the physical sales office altogether and save the rental costs.


  • A good virtual sales office can deliver this.

  • Standard antivirus software (e.g. AVG Free)


  • A 10 euro standard PC Headset (microphone & earphones)


  • No special software or skills are required – it’s all done in a web-browser.

    • company paid for heating or air-conditioning

So what does all this cost?

  • Surprising little


  • Set-up charges and two half day’s training cost less than most full page colour advertisements!


  • How can we do it so cheaply?


  •      Simple. We use a modified and tailored highly respected open-source sales solution. The core code of this is free of charge. We bill you only for the additional code that we supplied, installation costs and for the time taken to make the specific changes that we (and you) require.


  •      Monthly hosting, backup and database support charges are dependant upon the amount of users and usage but for a typical company of 25 users it should not be more than 200 euros/m – a LOT less than an additional office!
